About Us
Our journey began with a vision to transform Nigeria’s abundant yam harvest into processed, value-added products that serve as an easier and more convenient way to eat and consume yam which is one of Nigeria’s staple foods. Over the years, we have developed a range of offerings, including frozen yams and our groundbreaking first ever ready to eat snacks, positioning Leky Mills as an innovative front runner in the yam value chain in Nigeria.
In 2023, Leky Mills expanded into the export market, distributing products to the UK, Australia, Canada, and US positioning us as a globally competitive brand. As we continue to grow globally, we are heavily focused on also creating impact locally through our smallholder farmers and supporting them with direct offtake. Our focus on backward integration, innovation, and globalization continues to drive our success as we create products for both local and global consumers.
In 2024 we launched Leky Snacks Co, an exciting new division of Leky Mills, dedicated to offering affordable and locally sourced yam-based snacks. This groundbreaking product is the first ever yam crisps to ever be created in Nigeria, where we grow over 65% of all the yams in the world. It was created to meet the rising demand for convenient and authentic Nigerian snacks. Leky Snacks Co. aims to provide a delicious and accessible alternative to high-priced imported snacks. This new venture is part of Leky Mills vision to add value to Nigeria’s rich agricultural resources, offering products that cater to both local tastes and international quality standards.
